A Naples man is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop in Middlesex Wednesday evening.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies stopped a vehicle on State Route 245 around 7 p.m. and arrested 23-year-old Dominick Abbott, who allegedly showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests before being taken into custody.
Further investigation revealed Abbott was allegedly in possession of multiple illegal weapons and drug paraphernalia. He has been charged with:
-
Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (AUO) 1st
-
Speeding in Zone
-
Driving While Intoxicated (common law)
-
Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC over .08%
-
Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs
-
Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (three counts)
-

Abbott was transported to the Yates County Jail, processed, and held for arraignment in Yates County CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
