Canandaigua Police arrested a Naples man on an arrest warrant for criminal contempt following the report of a violation of an order of protection at a Saltonstall Street address back on August 28th.
According to the investigation, it was determined that Jeremiah Mendez had violated a stay-away order of protection by contacting the protected party by text message. Mendez was also arrested at the same time on a bench warrant after he failed to appear in Canandaigua City Court on a previous charge.
Mendez was brought to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
