A Moravia man has been arrested for stealing from Cayuga County businesses.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, Nicholas Tracy was arrested following an investigation into retail theft. The investigation determined the 32-year-old was stealing property from businesses and reselling them at a local pawn shop.
Tracy was charged with falsifying business records, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
He was issued appearance tickets for Auburn City Court on November 25.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
