A Cayuga County man has been arrested after allegedly burning his ex-girlfriend’s purse.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Kyle Beardsley of Moravia was arrested on Saturday and charged with a misdemeanor count of arson.
Beardsley is accused of taking his ex-girlfriend’s purse and sending her a video of him burning it.
Following his arrest, Beardsley was released and is scheduled to appear in Moravia Town Court on January 15. An order of protection was also issued against him.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
