On Friday, Elmira Police arrested a Montour Falls woman following a traffic stop involving suspected narcotics activity.
Jamie Mowry, 46, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, which is a class A-II felony.
At approximately 7 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle suspected of being involved in drug activity. During the investigation, police reportedly discovered narcotics and related paraphernalia inside the vehicle. A further search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a large quantity of methamphetamine.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
