The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Wayne County Department of Social Services, reports the arrest of an East Rochester woman following an investigation into a fraud complaint in the Town of Lyons.
Deputies arrested Tina D. Ayala, age 49, of East Chestnut Street in East Rochester for Petit Larceny and Misuse of Food Stamps, both misdemeanors. The charges stem from an investigation into a fraud complaint and it is alleged that Ayala used another individuals EBT card for her personal use. As a result, Ayala fraudulently received a total of $206.00 in benefits that she was not entitled to.
Ayala was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Town of Lyons Court on March 7th, 2023 to answer the charges.
