A Middlesex man has been arrested following a domestic incident in the Town of Potter.
Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home on East Swamp Road after a verbal dispute reportedly turned physical. During the argument, Tyler Demitry allegedly made unwanted physical contact with a woman—in front of a child under the age of 17.
Demitry left the scene before deputies arrived but was later located at his home on Upper Hill Road in Middlesex.
He was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
