Yates County deputies say a Middlesex man was arrested following a reported assault on September 5.
Authorities responded to 1217 State Route 245 for a report of an assault involving a weapon. Deputies say 61-year-old Thomas Pierson was involved in a physical altercation with another adult male, who sustained multiple injuries.
Pierson was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building to await arraignment through the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP). He has been charged with third-degree assault and third-degree menacing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
