Mexican Living in Auburn Arrested for Sex Crimes Involving Child

A Mexican man living in Auburn was arrested Thursday for sex crimes involving a child.

According to the police, they received a complaint in December that Santiago Hernandez Huerta had engaged in repeated acts of sexual conduct against a girl under the age of 11. An investigation was performed and possible evidence was sent to the New York State Police Forensic Investigation Center for processing. Probable cause was obtained to arrest the 41-year-old.

Hernandez Huerta was located by the Gun Involved Violence Elimination team, taken into custody, and charged with felony Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child.

He was held by police pending arraignment in CAP court.
