A town of Marion woman has a future date in town court after she was arrested on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the charges against Veronica Smith stem from an investigation into a domestic incident where she allegedly made comments considered detrimental to a child’s mental welfare.
The 37-year-old Smith was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await CAP arraignment following her arrest.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
