A Marion man was arrested and remanded to jail without bail following a burglary investigation in the Town of Manchester, according to authorities.
Ontario County officials say 57-year-old Edward Jock was taken into custody Dec. 20 and charged with second-degree burglary. Investigators allege Jock unlawfully entered and remained in a dwelling on Short Road in Manchester with the intent to commit a crime.
Due to two prior felony convictions, Jock was remanded to the Ontario County Jail without bail following his arraignment in CAP Court, officials said.
The arrest was processed at the Ontario County Jail in the Town of Hopewell.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
