The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Marion man following a domestic incident in the Town of Palmyra on Monday.
38-year-old Scott Davis is accused of striking the victim with a closed fist on the right side of the neck, causing bruising. Deputies say Davis then shattered the passenger-side window of a vehicle and took the victim’s cell phone, preventing them from calling for help. At the time of the incident, an active Refrain-from Order of Protection was in effect.
Davis was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, third- and fourth-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree harassment.
He was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
