Manchester Resident Arrested on Canandaigua Court Warrant

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 25-year-old Manchester woman on a bench warrant issued out of Canandaigua Town Court.

Mercedes Newcomb is accused of failing to appear in court on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Newcomb was taken into custody on Sunday and brought to the Ontario County Jail for CAP arraignment.

Newcomb will appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
