A 29-year-old Manchester man faces drug charges after a traffic stop Wednesday night led to the discovery of fentanyl.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Elijah Moore was pulled over on North Main Street in the Town of Manchester. During the stop, deputies say Moore was found with a white, rock-like substance in his front pants pocket.
A field test confirmed the substance was fentanyl. Moore was taken into custody without incident and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Manchester Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
