One man is in custody following a Friday night incident in Ithaca.
Police report responding to the scene just before 11:00p for what was initially reported as a domestic incident.
Once on scene, they learned that 48-year-old Donta Braxton got into an argument with a resident of the West Village Apartments. When Braxton forced his way into the apartment, a fight broke out and the resident stabbed him in self-defense.
He was taken to Cayuga Medical Center for non-life-threatening Injuries and arrested there.
Braxton was charged with Burglary (felony), Endangering the Welfare of a Child (misdemeanor), and Harassment (violation). He was also served active warrants against him.
Braxton was arraigned and taken to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.
