A man out of Livingston County was arrested Tuesday for allegedly driving a car that was reported stolen out of Monroe County in Seneca County.
According to Seneca Falls Police, Verdell Cunningham was operating a 2022 GMC Terrain within the town of Seneca Falls. Police were able to stop Cunningham without incident in the area of State Route 414 and State Route 5.
In addition to criminal possession of stolen property, the 61-year-old Lima resident was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after he was allegedly found with a pair of metal knuckles after a search of the Terrain.
Cunningham was brought to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
