A Rochester man has been arrested following a DWI investigation connected to a property damage crash in the Town of Sodus, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 52-year-old Jeffrey Slyck of Rochester after responding to a reported crash around 5:30 p.m. Jan. 4 on Lake Road near Maxwell Road.
Investigators said Slyck was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where he was charged with first-offense driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. Deputies said his blood alcohol concentration was measured at .19%.
Slyck was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Sodus Town Court on Feb. 2 at 10 a.m.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
