One man is facing multiple charges after crashing his motorcycle in the Town of Mentz.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area of South Street Road on August 18 for the report of an accident with injuries. Steven Ball Jr is accused of riding an uninsured and unregistered motorcycle while intoxicated and without a motorcycle license, crashing it into a ditch.
He refused treatment at the scene and was arrested for driving while intoxicated and various traffic infractions.
Ball was arraigned the next morning at released. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this investigation by members of the New York State Police, Cayuga 911 Center, and the Port Byron Fire Department.
