A 25-year-old man was arrested by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday at the Oneida County Jail.
Jeremiah Canery was being released from that facility and was transferred into the custody of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. Canery was arrested on a felony bench warrant out of Phelps Town Court for his failure to appear on a grand larceny charge.
Canery was brought to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
