A Wayne County man was arrested early Sunday morning after deputies say he was found sleeping in the driver’s seat of a pickup truck while waiting in post-concert traffic.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 12:28 a.m. on Sunday. Deputies identified the driver as Michael Kier, of Macedon. Following an investigation, they determined Kier was intoxicated and took him into custody.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, issued uniform traffic tickets, and released to a sober party. Kier is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
