A Lyons woman was arrested Sunday morning on driving while intoxicated charges.
It is alleged through a complaint filed by another driver that Amanda Tirado-Jacob allegedly crossed over the centerline and was driving at inconsistent speeds. The 41-year-old Tirado-Jacob submitted to and subsequently failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, according to the Sheriff’s Department, later submitting to a chemical breath test that revealed a BAC of .15%
Tirado-Jacob was charged with driving while intoxicated and will appear in Newark Village Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
