The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons woman following a warrant investigation.
Deputies arrested 44-year-old Kathleen Shoemaker-Kelley on multiple bench warrants for petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, and she had failed to appear for several scheduled court dates.
Shoemaker-Kelley was taken into custody for failing to appear on the charges. She is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
