A joint investigation into a fraud complaint in Wayne County resulted in the arrest of a Lyons woman.
29-year-old Deanna Johnson is accused of receiving SNAP and Child Care Assistance when she failed to report the income she was receiving from another individual who was living with her. She is also accused of falsifying information on applications for the county services. As a result, Johnson fraudulently received $2,242.40 in benefits she was not entitled to. Johnson was charged with two counts of welfare fraud, two counts of grand larceny, and three counts of offering a false instrument for filing, all felonies.
Johnson will appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
