A Lyons woman was arrested Wednesday evening on a bench warrant in Seneca County.
Deputies took 42-year-old Stephanie Weaver into custody around 7 Wednesday night on a warrant for failure to appear in court. The warrant stems from two charges: criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and possession of contraband in prison in the second degree.
Weaver was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where she was held pending arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
