Lyons Woman Arrested After Alleged Unlicensed Teen Driving Incident

SHARE NOW

A Town of Lyons woman was arrested after deputies after deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office say she allowed an unlicensed teenager to drive her vehicle in a high school parking lot in the Village of Sodus.

34-year-old Alyssa Reintjes of Old Lyons Road was arrested Thursday on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

The sheriff’s office says the charge stems from a complaint alleging Reintjes asked and allowed an unlicensed 16-year-old to operate her vehicle in the Sodus Junior/Senior High School parking lot.

Reintjes was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
