An investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office into a larceny resulted in the arrest of a Lyons woman.
It is alleged that Brooke Hartman entered a Kinney Drugs store in the town of Lyons on Tuesday afternoon and stole $24.44 worth of merchandise by walking out of the store and not paying for the items.
Hartman was charged with petit larceny and ordered to appear in Lyons Town Court in June to answer the charge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
