A Lyons woman was arrested by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant out of Romulus Town Court on Tuesday afternoon.
The bench warrant for Stephanie Weaver was executed after she was turned over to the custody of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Corrections Division for a separate charge by another law enforcement agency.
The warrant for Weaver was issued for failing to appear for the misdemeanor crime of Introducing Contraband into Prison.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
