The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons man following a months-long narcotics investigation.
71-year-old Albert Webber was arrested on a Wayne County Grand Jury Indictment Warrant for six counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and five counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators executed search warrants at Webber’s residence in February and October, with all charges stemming from the ongoing investigation. Webber was arraigned in Wayne County Court on November 3 and committed to the Wayne County Jail.
The investigation was assisted by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office SIU, Geneva Police Department, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, and New York State Police VGNET.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
