A Lyons man has been arrested for violating a court order following a domestic incident in Sodus Point.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 21-year-old John Walker was taken into custody after deputies allegedly observed him with an individual who is the protected party in a stay-away order issued by Wayne County Family Court.
Walker was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office to await arraignment at CAP Court. He is scheduled to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
