A Lyons man has been charged after deputies say he was caught stealing merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods at Eastview Mall.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the store around 4:45 p.m. on August 31 for a report of an active theft. Investigators say 46-year-old Brian Lazzar took $379.97 worth of merchandise.
Lazzar was arrested and charged with petit larceny. He was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
