The investigation into a vehicle and traffic complaint conducted by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of a Lyons man.
Deputies located the car in question in the town of Palmyra Monday night after after stopping it, determined its driver to be intoxicated. Henry McKenzie, of Lyons, was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and refused to submit to a breath test.
McKenzie was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
