A traffic stop in the town of Palmyra early Saturday morning resulted in the arrest of a Lyons man.
It is alleged that Anthony Patterson failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling east on Tellier Road. During the investigation, Patterson was found to be in an intoxicated condition and was subsequently arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Patterson was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to stop at a stop sign, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and refusal to submit to a breath screening.
Patterson was held for CAP court and is due to appear in Palmyra Town Court at a later date and time.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
