A 41-year-old Lyons man was arrested following an incident on town property, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say David Jones Jr. was found on Clyde Road on October 1, despite previously being told he was not allowed on the property. Jones reportedly started a campfire while on the property. When deputies attempted to take him into custody on October 3, he allegedly obstructed their efforts.
Jones was charged with trespass and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. He is scheduled to answer the charges in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
