Lyons Man Accused of Violating Order of Protection

SHARE NOW

A Lyons man has been arrested in connection with a domestic violence incident involving a reported violation of an order of protection.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested 21-year-old John Walker on Tuesday. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred the day before on Catherine Street in the Town of Lyons.  Deputies allege that Walker unlawfully entered a residence where a person protected by an active order of protection was staying. He has been charged with Burglary in the Third Degree and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.

Walker was released from custody following his arraignment on Wednesday morning.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
