Lyons Man Accused of Striking Store Employee While Stealing Beverage

The investigation into a disturbance in the town of Lyons early Sunday morning resulted in the arrest of a Lyons man.

It is alleged that 21-year-old John Walker struck an employee of the Lyons Kwik Fill in the face with a closed fist multiple times while trying to leave the store without paying for a beverage. Walker was charged with attempted robbery.

Following his arraignment, Walker was released to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
