A Lyons man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home during a domestic incident.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 23-year-old Dante Gile is accused of entering the Church Street residence without permission while intoxicated. Deputies say the incident happened in front of children.
During the investigation, Gile allegedly tried to physically obstruct deputies and was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained during the incident. Once released, he was informed he was under arrest and allegedly resisted.
Gile is charged with second-degree criminal trespass, endangering the welfare of a child, obstructing governmental administration, and resisting arrest. He is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court on August 9 at 7 p.m. to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
