Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports the arrest of a Long Island man following a traffic stop in the Town of Waterloo early Wednesday morning.
Deputies say 32-year-old Kenneth C. Miller, of Copiague, was pulled over for speeding—71 miles per hour in a 45 zone. During the stop, deputies determined Miller was intoxicated and driving with a suspended license.
He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, both misdemeanors. A breath test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.10%.
Miller was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Town Court on August 20.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
