The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Locke woman on a criminal contempt charge.
On June 12th, deputies were dispatched to a home in the town of Locke for an alleged Order of Protection violation. Upon investigating, deputies allegedly found 57-year-old Shantel Yaw in the presence of the protected party of a full stay-away order of protection.
Following her arrest, Yaw was arraigned at CAP Court and posted bail with a future court date set for Locke Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
