Three Cayuga County men are accused of stealing merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods in Aurelius.
Police responded to the store last Wednesday night and were given a description of the suspects and the vehicle they left in. A short time later, the vehicle was spotted in the city of Auburn and pulled over.
An investigation determined 31-year-old Allan Laury, of Auburn, had stolen merchandise from the store and got into a car with 41-year-old Robert Doyle III, of Auburn, and Matthew Mckay, of Fleming. Laury was dropped off before police had stopped the vehicle, but the merchandise he allegedly stole was still inside of the car.
All three men were brought to the Cayuga County Jail due to multiple open cases. Laury was charged with petit larceny, while Doyle and Mckay were each charged with criminal possession of stolen property. All were released on appearance tickets.

The Auburn Police Department assisted the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office in its investigation.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
