A Lansing woman was arrested by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office on a felony DWI charge.
The arrest of Melissa Ipson stems from an incident where sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop in the town of Tyre on Tuesday for the driver of a car who was allegedly speeding and failing to keep right. A roadside investigation found that Ipson was driving with a BAC of .12%
Ipson was charged with a felony due to a previous conviction within the past ten years.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
