A Penn Yan woman is facing drug charges in connection with a domestic incident that happened in the village back in early October.
At the time of the domestic, police recovered an off-white solid substance, suspected to be methamphetamine, and several glass smoking devices with burnt residue of suspected methamphetamine. The items were sent to a crime lab for testing which confirmed the substances to be meth.
37-year-old Chasity Schorpp was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and ordered to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
