An Ithaca woman has been arrested on burglary and criminal mischief charges.
On Sunday, police responded to an apartment in the 100 block of Cherry Street for a burglary investigation. Upon arrival, police were told by the victim that they had found their apartment was forcefully entered and their property was stolen. While on scene, officers found the suspect who was taken into custody without incident. The stolen property was then recovered from the suspect’s apartment in the same complex.
25-year-old Madelyn Carman was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and released on an appearance ticket.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
