An Ithaca woman faces charges after police say they found her allegedly driving a stolen car in the city.
Officers located the car around Hook Place shortly after midnight Monday and an attempt to stop it initially failed. Police say the driver, 33-year-old Brittany Walls, committed a number of vehicle and traffic violations prior to coming to a stop in a field off Haller Boulevard. She is then accused of taking off on foot but was taken into custody without injury.
Walls was charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property as well as misdemeanor counts of unlawful fleeing a police officer, and obstructing governmental administration. She was released on appearance tickets.
