Ithaca Resident Arrested After Stabbing Incident

A person suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in the city of Ithaca.

Police say 40-year-old Chanel Savage, of Ithaca, is accused of getting into a physical dispute with the victim shortly before one on Tuesday afternoon in the 600 block of West State Street. At some point during the dispute, Savage is accused of cutting and stabbing the other person. After initially fleeing the scene, Savage was taken into custody and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Savage was sent to Tompkins County Jail in lieu of bail.

The victim was treated for their injuries at a local hospital.
