SHARE NOW

Two Brooklyn men are behind bars following a major drug seizure in Tompkins County.

Authorities say members of the Ithaca-Tompkins Specialized Response Team carried out a high-risk vehicle stop early Friday morning on State Route 79 near the Tioga County line.

The driver, Adrian Golding, and passenger, Joseph Robertson, were taken into custody without incident.

Investigators say search warrants executed on the vehicle and a residence on Morris Avenue in Ithaca led to the seizure of about three ounces of cocaine, more than 14-hundred grams of crystal methamphetamine, along with scales, drug paraphernalia, and cash.

Both men are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second and third degrees.

Police say Golding was also wanted as a parole absconder.

Both suspects were arraigned in Tompkins County CAP Court and sent to jail without bail.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
