Ithaca Police Believe They’ve Caught Serial Burglar

Ithaca Police believe they have arrested the man responsible for a number of recent thefts and burglaries in the city.

39-year-old Lawrence Williams was taken into custody after matching the description of a person seen in the area of a burglary alarm in the 500 block of West Seneca Street. Williams was charged with burglary and criminal mischief, both felonies, as well as misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of burglar’s tools. He is expected to face additional charges.

Williams was sent to Tompkins County Jail without bail.
