A 35-year-old Ithaca man is facing multiple charges after an assault early Sunday on the Ithaca Commons.
Police say Alexander Mosher attacked a person around 12:15 a.m. on East State Street. When officers attempted to arrest him, Mosher allegedly resisted by kicking and shoving officers before being taken into custody.
At the police station, investigators say Mosher spat and urinated inside the department.
He is charged with harassment, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, criminal tampering, and aggravated harassment of an employee by an incarcerated individual.
Mosher was arraigned and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
