A 22-year-old Ithaca man is facing felony charges following a stabbing incident Friday afternoon at an apartment complex on Spencer Road.
At around 3:30 p.m., Ithaca Police responded to a report of a stabbing at 665 Spencer Road, the Amici House Apartments. When officers arrived, they found a victim with stab wounds and immediately began providing medical aid, assisted by the Ithaca Fire Department and Bangs Ambulance.
The victim was transported to a regional trauma center and is reported to be in stable condition.
Following an investigation, police identified the suspect as Kasieum Pia-Miller. He has been charged with: assault and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.
Authorities have not released further details about the incident or the motive. The investigation remains ongoing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
