An Interlaken man is charged with criminal contempt in connection with an incident in Schuyler County.
60-year-old James Everts was arrested following a sheriff’s department investigation on Lisk Road in the town of Hector earlier this month.
Everts was arraigned in Schuyler County CAP Court and released to appear in Hector Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
