An inmate at the Seneca County Jail has been arrested on a petit larceny charge.
It is alleged that 40-year-old Steven Knight stole property belonging to another inmate.
Knight was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Romulus Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
